While I originally thought I would exclusively focus on wildlife research in college, my four years in Cornell's Natural Resources department has exposed me to many new paths towards conservation. During my three summers as an undergrad I conducted research on Alaskan salmon, led birding workshops with an environmental nonprofit in Mexico, filmed and produced two conservation-related short documentaries, and conducted a social evaluation of an agroforestry initiative in Ecuador. I plan to continue pursuing all these activities after graduating before deciding what to focus on in graduate school.
