Natural Resources faculty and staff are unmatched in their diversity of expertise in natural resources and environmental sustainability. Expertise ranges from conservation genetics to global ecological processes, and from individual and group environmental behavior to influences of institutions and social systems as drivers of environmental change. They are dedicated to applying their expertise to teaching, research, extension and outreach responsibilities, including advising policy makers.

Faculty Spotlight

Rebecca Schneider

Professor Schneider's program focuses on integrated, watershed-based, and sustainable water resource management in the face of climate change. Current areas of research include the role of roadside ditches in flooding, droughts, and downstream water quality and how restoration of organic matter in wetland and terrestrial soils can help to improve hydrologic and biogeochemical functions.
