Natural Resources faculty and staff are unmatched in their diversity of expertise in natural resources and environmental sustainability. Expertise ranges from conservation genetics to global ecological processes, and from individual and group environmental behavior to influences of institutions and social systems as drivers of environmental change. They are dedicated to applying their expertise to teaching, research, extension and outreach responsibilities, including advising policy makers.

Timothy Fahey

As a forest ecologist, Professor Fahey’s general interest is in better understanding forest ecosystems, both tropical and temperate. His current research is focused on forest soil carbon, nitrogen and phosphorus dynamics, tropical montane forest ecosystems and the dynamics of forest soils invaded by exotic earthworms.
