Natural Resources faculty and staff are unmatched in their diversity of expertise in natural resources and environmental sustainability. Expertise ranges from conservation genetics to global ecological processes, and from individual and group environmental behavior to influences of institutions and social systems as drivers of environmental change. They are dedicated to applying their expertise to teaching, research, extension and outreach responsibilities, including advising policy makers.

Professor Sullivan's research objective is to understand what drives the spatial and temporal dynamics of natural populations and communities and how they respond to anthropogenic influences, by focusing on patterns that can be used to tease out and identify important factors and processes that define these systems.
